I’ve said this before and I’ll say it 100x a day for as long as I am able, I do not take my job as a professional photographer for granted. Offering newborn baby photography in Fairfield County CT isn’t just a job for me- it’s truly my heart. And the fact that you choose to bring me along to document it just makes me teary-eyed every time I think about it. If you know me, you know I am sentimental and just so so thankful.
This week a friend asked me what my favorite part of a newborn session is and I loved that she asked. Sure, I love to snuggle your baby and take their photos. Butttt that’s not the best part. The best part is getting to sit back and take in the moments in between the photos, especially between a Mama and her baby. I love seeing her light up every time she looks at her newborn.
And while all that is happening, I love to glance over at Dad because he’s often watching Mom. During birth and in those early days, I think there is a heightened sense of adoration for each other and the little life you just welcomed into your family. There’s truly nothing in this world like it.
I saw all of these things during this little guy’s newborn session in my studio. Mom and Dad are crazy about their baby boy and could not stop smiling at him and at each other. I even got a little smile out of Felix at the end!
We were able to get a good mix of photos with Felix wide-awake and some with him sleeping. He has the best hair and sweetest little features. While I was taking Felix’s solo newborn photos, Mom was getting pampered by Angelina. She then chose a beautiful blue dress from the KWP Client Collection and looked absolutely beautiful.
